WebSight Design (WSD) is pleased to announce the launch of AHouseUnited.org. The site is the brainchild of Sedge Dienst. We originally met Sedge in 2006 when we launched KCAPartners.com for Sedge and his partner PJ Nora.
AHouseUnited.org helps volunteers and donors identify the US House races around the US that are both the most competitive and also lowest-cost races to fund directly with their donations. By combining the factors of “Tightness” of the race, as evaluated by professional political scientists, with the “Affordability”, as reported in Federal Election Committee filings, it creates an “Impact Score” that helps donors put dollars toward their highest impact on the goal of “flipping the House” from its current Republican control.
Alongside existing options like the Democratic National Committee, SuperPACs raising money on ActBlue, and some other like-minded organizations, A House United is helping to fund the mid-term races, but its approach is unique in two ways: it doesn’t collect any money, but sends the user directly to the Donate page of high-impact candidates; it exclusively focuses on races rated as “Toss-Up”, but ranks those by their total funds raised to send money to lower-cost election districts.

On the front end, WSD assisted Sedge by creating a logo, producing a vibrant, high contrast, easy-to-understand custom user interface design with a clean layout and orderly page flow. The site is especially usable on a mobile phone.
The programming foundation of the web site is built in WSD’s latest Yii implementation. The Content Management System includes a page manager, a home page manager, a contact module, and a custom candidate manager.
WSD wishes Sedge the best of luck in his latest endeavor.
